Managing Director visits HTES communittees ensuring a continious commitment to CSR

The Managing Director, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited, Olivier Odoukou has assured traditional rulers and Community leaders in RENL host communities of operation of the Company’s continous commitment to the sustenance of its corporate social responsibility to their communities. The MD made this assertion during his second visit to the communities since his assumption of office in January 2021.

The Managing Director said the visit was to again re-affirm the Company’s commitments to the overall development of the host communities through its Corporate Social responsibility projects and to appreciate the traditional rulers and community leaders for their efforts in ensuring a peaceful environment for the Company’s business to thrive.

In his words “the Company appreciates the Communities for their role in ensuring a peaceful environment for our business to thrive. We are grateful and on our path we will continue to collaborate with you to sustain this peace and develop your communities”.

RENL MD used the opportunity to thank the traditional rulers for their cooperation throughout the past years and urged them to sustain the cordial relationship between them and the Company. He further mentioned that RENL can only contribute their quota to community development through CSR when the environment for it to do business is conducive.

On their part, the traditional rulers assured the Managing Director of their continous support and commitment to the overall growth of the Company. They stated that Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited has in no small way assisted the Communities and what they have to do in return is to always support them by ensuring a peaceful environment for them to do business.

The traditional rulers maintained that RENL’s Corporate Social responsibility to host communities is so laudable, and assured the MD that they will continue to partner with him and the entire management for the overall growth of the Company.

They mentioned that the provision of infrastructural amenities like borehole, town-halls, civic centres, health care centres, market stores as well as educational development in regards to the provision of scholarship for indigent students is one that endeared RENL to the heart of all and will forever be appreciated. The traditional rulers collectively affirmed that these gestures have helped to cushion the challenges in their communities and deserve commendation.

Traditional rulers visited by MD in no particular order include, Oka-evbo of Urhonigbe, HRH Chief Ogbewi Uyuwungbebe, Iyase N’Udo, Chief Patrick Igbinidu, Ajobu of Araromi, Oba Aderemi Adelola, Ilusin regency Council, headed by Professor Segun Awonusi, and Elefire of Efire, Oba Adetokunbo Adeniyi.
