Multimedia center

A 40 feet old factory container has been recycled into a multimedia room for the dredging primary school of the Integrated Farm Unit of Bongo after a bit of construction work. The new room is equipped with:

  • A library section including:
    - 5 storing shelves containing over 3 000 books (made with old wooden pallets)
    - 417 books (donation of Mrs. Billon);
    - 3 reading tables (made of old wooden pallets);
    - 6 chairs (made of old wooden pallets);
  • A multimedia section including:
    - 1 central table (made with old wooden pallets);
    - 4 chairs (made with old wooden pallets);
    - 4 computers equipped with inverters
  • The front courtyard has been equipped with :
    - 4 round tables and poufs made out of old tires;
    - 1 central ally made of cobblestones made from plastic waste from the site;
    - Beach sand

The inauguration of this room was done by Mrs. Billon on Friday February 12th 2021 in presence of Mr. Camara Idrissa, academic counselor, of several primary school principles and staff, managers and employees. Mrs. Billon urged the academic staff to exemplary manage the over 5.7 million worth room and to make a model of it in the region.
