Ogun State officials visit Adeola plantation and the factory

Officials from Ogun State Government led by the Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. Adeola Odedina alongside his counterpart in the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC), Mr. Bolu Owotomo, on Wednesday 23rd February 2022, paid an official visit to the Adeola Plantation of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited.

The visit also afforded the Government Officials, the opportunity of going through the production process of RENL 30,000 per annum capacity factory and the new export warehouse in Araromi.

Speaking shortly after the tour of the plantation, the General Manager of the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC), Mr. Bolu Owotomo, noted that Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited has actually demonstrated its capability in the development of Rubber Plantation in Nigeria, especially in Ogun State. This, according to him, is evident in the development of large hectares of Rubber Plantation in Adeola. He maintained that with adequate government support, the Company is capable of taking rubber plantation development in the state and beyond to an enviable height. He said the Ogun state government is looking forward to establishing a very robust synergy between it and the Company (RENL) in a concerted effort to invest more in Rubber Plantation development for the overall good of the State.

Responding, the Managing Director, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited, Mr. Olivier Odoukou, thanked the visiting state Government officials for their confidence on the capability of the Company in Rubber Plantation Development in the state. MD Olivier noted that RENL, as a major player in the Rubber sector, will continue to invest in rubber plantation development so as to adequately feed its factory with raw materials for optimal production.

Other dignitaries during the visit include the Ogun State Director in RENL’s Board, Hon. Princess Abioye Philips, Corporate Affairs Executive, RENL, Gabriel Amadin, Agric Technical Manager, RENL, Dzigbodi Hosi, Agric Manager, RENL, Obiem Patrick, amongst others.
