Zero burning during land preparation and replanting

SIPH has committed to zero burning during land preparation. This commitment is mentioned in the Group’s Sustainable Development policy through agricultural best practices, and also applies to re planting activities. Along with preventing environmental pollution, this technic is also beneficial, as organic maters and soil nutriments can be reused, and are essential to preserve soil fertility (clay-humus complex).

In 2019, SIPH progressively planned replanting activities in several work areas. All these replanting activities have been done with no burning, preferring logging, production of wood shavings or tree trunk deliveries to outsiders.
