Waste Management

SIPH’s approach when it comes to waste management consists in processing them in order to obtain added value in accordance with the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The orientations for a progressive implementation are as follow:

• Domestic waste is turned into compost and used partially for gardening activities and in nurseries
• Plastic waste is recycled into plastic pavement
• Aged rubber tree wood is turned into wood shavings and sold to outsiders to be used as fuel for electricity in boilers. This type of electricity depends on the quantity of wood chips used.
