10 Years Anniversary in Memory of Yves Lambelin former CEO & Board Chairman of SIFCA Group

On Thursday April 1, 2021, a minute silence was observed at 12:00 noon in memory of Yves LAMBELIN (former CEO and Board Chairman of the SIFCA Group), Raoul ADEOSSI, his assistant and Chelliah PANDIAN, former MD of Sania at all the operational sites of GREL.

Ten (10) years ago, on April 4, 2011, the SIFCA Group experienced the most tragic event in its history with the disappearance of the aforementioned staff in Abidjan (Côte d’ Ivoire). They were abducted in a post-election violence in 2011 at Abidjan.

The SIFCA group organized series of activities in all its subsidiaries on Friday, April 2, 2021. In the case of GREL, since Friday, April 2, 2021, is a statutory holiday, GREL held this event on April 1, 2021 in their memory.

A short message was read on behalf of the SIFCA Group to the employees for them to understand the purpose of the event.

The message was read by Mr. Lionel BARRE (the Managing Director at the Head office), Mr. Kwadwo Wiafe (the Estates Manager at the Field) Mr. Elliott LEDRU, (the Factory Manager at Apm Factory), Mr. Boris HERVE ATTE (Factory Manager at Tsibu Factory) and Mr. Simon Tetteh, Head of ROU (Rubber Ougrower Unit) respectively.

A book of condolence was signed by some staff who did not get the opportunity to sign when the sad event occurred as well as those who joined the company after the sad incident.
