Extra hands trained to assist stimulation
The training section of the Department of Techniques and Control (DTC) has organized three days stimulant application training at Estates Division 3 and 4.
The objective of the training was to train extra hands for the divisions, so they can bring some form of relief to tappers at the periods when they are doing consumption marking which is one of the major burdens they face when stimulation calendar coincides with consumption marking. Also, according to the DTC Stimulation control report, most tappers do not apply the chemical well which delays field production.
It is in view of this that, Nucleus took the initiative to train extra hands to support the situation at hand. Three different brushes have been adopted and approved for used in applying stimulant as per the panel being tapped. These includes
- I. T 15---For ½ spiral downs and ¼ spiral up
- II. Savy 20---For regenerative back panels (E and F panels) and ½ spiral ups
- III. Savy 30---For old farm panels (ability tapping)
This exercise began on September 20, 2021 and was successfully completed on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Barnabas N P Dakorah, the field technical training officer and Mad. Rosemercy Akubia the Tap-ping instructor for Division 3 and 4. In all about 22 personnel were trained for both Divisions.
