On Wednesday 29 July 2026, SAPH teams gathered in Bongo Village for the handover of three fully equipped primary school classrooms and an office. This building, which cost 30,680,000 FCFA and is intended to alleviate overcrowding at the school, was inaugurated for the benefit of 269 pupils. The ceremony, led by Ms Henriette Gomis-Billon, Director of External Communications and Sustainable Development (DIRCOM DD), was attended by Ms Banhiet Grace Isabelle, Director of the Bongo Integrated Agricultural Unit; Mr Boni Michel Koffi Kouakou, Sub-Prefect of Bongo, traditional leaders and local farmers – key partners of SAPH – as well as advisers to the Minister for National Education, Literacy and Technical Education. Young students from Mimosifcom, undertaking an immersion placement at the Bongo Integrated Agricultural Unit, also took part in the ceremony.

In her speech, Ms Gomis-Billon emphasised the importance of building lasting relationships with communities, recalling SAPH’s commitment to the village of Bongo since 2012, through 26 social projects carried out at a total cost of over 326 million FCFA.

Representatives from the Technical Assistance and Rubber Procurement Department also encouraged growers to supply their produce to SAPH, which offers the best guarantees in terms of transparency and purchase prices, whilst the Civil Engineering team, also present at the ceremony, showcased the buildings whose construction they had overseen.

This inauguration reaffirms SAPH’s commitment to the Bongo UAI community, as a concrete response to the concerns raised during previous visits.
