WEBER & SCHAER Customer Audit
The year 2023 started with the first customer audit of the year on Bongo's IFU on January 25th and 26th.
The client received is important: it is the company WEBER & SCHAER, which is over 175 years old and operates in the rubber, plastic and adhesive industries throughout Europe and the world. This company is characterized, beyond technical and economic performance by its sensitivity to the environment and the protection of resources serving as guidelines for its actions.
During this visit, along with visits to the plantation and the factory, particular emphasis was placed on questions relating to:
- • Biodiversity and ecology (recovery of waste, recovery of wood);
- • Social infrastructure (housing, schools, medical service, etc.)
The delegation of our illustrious visitors from WEBER & SCHAER was made up of:
- • Hans EVERS, Sustainable Development Manager
- • Inna STEIN, trader
- • Andreas SCHUCH, Lab Manager
These 3 "guests of honor" were accompanied by Laurence LE BERQUIER, Commercial Director of SIPH who arrived from Paris for the occasion.
The visit was a complete success and made it possible to reinforce the positive image of the Ivorian rubber industry, particularly of the company SAPH, on the issues of industrial performance and sustainability.
LITTLE ANECDOTES:
- Our guests attended the morning roll call with the tappers in the early morning (5:30 am).
- This is the first customer audit for which has included a visit to the primary forest adjacent to the factory and which is part of the biodiversity protected areas.
