Members of the SIFCA Group Executive Committee paid a working visit to Michelin's headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, on 20 and 21 October. This was another opportunity for the two strategic partners in the global natural rubber industry to review their priorities, discuss development prospects and strengthen collaboration between their teams.

Upon arrival, the SIFCA Group delegation, consisting of Alassane Doumbia (Chairman), Pierre Billon (CEO) and Lucie Barry-Tanous (Secretary General), accompanied by several SIPH directors, including Marc Génot, were welcomed by Yves Chapot, co-manager of the Michelin Group, and his teams.

During the working sessions, discussions focused mainly on:

• The strategy of the SIFCA Group's Rubber Division,
• Michelin's place in this strategy,
• Common challenges related to a sustainable, efficient and value-creating industry.

The executives also took advantage of this mission to visit several facilities belonging to the world leader in tyres. Among the sites visited was the Innovation Pavilion, where prototypes and technological innovations that will shape the tyres of tomorrow are tested.

As a reminder, in 2023, Michelin, as a shareholder and key commercial partner of SIPH, had already made a working visit to Côte d'Ivoire, illustrating the dynamic of regular and mutually beneficial exchanges between the two groups.
